Match Me If You Can is a private, invitation-style matchmaking service. We are not a public dating app — we are a curated, human-reviewed service designed to connect compatible people in a safe and respectful environment.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data. By submitting a profile, you agree to this policy.

When you submit a profile, we collect the following information:

• Identity: Your name, age, gender, and email address
• Contact details: Phone number and suburb/LGA
• Preferences: Who you're looking for, relationship goals, age and height preferences
• Background: Ethnicity (self-identified), occupation/industry
• Photos: Up to 3 photos you voluntarily upload (face, full body, other)
• About you: Free-text description you write about yourself
• Deal-breakers: Preferences you've indicated as non-negotiable

Your information is used solely for the following purposes:

• To assess compatibility and generate match scores between profiles
• To send you match results by email when a strong match is found
• To share limited profile details (name, photo, phone) with a confirmed match — and only with them
• To send you service emails (submission confirmation, approval status, edit link)
• To allow our admin team to review and approve your profile before it enters the pool

Your profile is never publicly visible. Here is exactly who can access your information:

• Our admin team: Reviews every profile before approval. Your full profile and photos are seen during this review.
• Your confirmed matches only: When a match is found, your first name, photo, and phone number are shared with that specific person — and their details are shared with you. No one else sees this.
• No one else: Other applicants in the pool cannot browse, search, or view your profile.

Photos are stored securely on our private server and are never shared publicly. They are used for two purposes only:

• For our admin team to verify your identity during the approval process
• To be shared with a confirmed match in a private match email

We may use automated checks to verify that uploaded photos are genuine and appropriate. Photos that appear to be fake, stolen, or inappropriate will result in your application being rejected.

Your data is stored on a private, access-controlled server. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, including:

• Server-side access controls — no public file browsing
• Approval-gated profile access — profiles are reviewed before entering the system
• No third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising SDKs on this site
• Emails are sent via encrypted SMTP (TLS)

We retain your data for as long as your profile is active. If you request deletion, all your data — including photos — will be permanently removed within 7 days.

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your profile at any time using your personal edit link
• Deletion: Request complete removal of your profile and all associated data
• Withdrawal: Withdraw from the matchmaking pool at any time — simply email us
• Objection: Object to how your data is being used

We take the integrity of this service seriously. Every profile is manually reviewed before being approved. The following will result in immediate rejection or removal:

• Submitting false information (fake name, age, photos, or contact details)
• Using photos of another person without their consent
• Creating multiple profiles for the same person
• Submitting on behalf of someone else without their knowledge
• Any attempt to harass, deceive, or harm other participants

This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not track you across other websites.

The only data stored in your browser is temporary session state used to pre-fill your form if you return to edit your profile. This data never leaves your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify active participants by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
